Office Policies

Below you can review my office policies in brief. You’ll have the opportunity to review and sign the policies in full before our first visit.

Payment

You will be asked to provide your credit card information in your secure patient portal. Unless you make a special request, you’ll be automatically charged to the card on file by the end of the day on which your visit was conducted and sent an email invoice. This arrangement is to ensure that we spend most of our time together focused on your healing and not money. I’m happy to accommodate payments by check or cash at your request.

Insurance Billing

I do not directly bill insurance companies for my services because the depth and complexity reached in our 2-hour visit together cannot be adequately compensated in the insurance model. I set my rates with integrity and care, however I understand you may need to use your existing insurance benefits. After each visit, I will send you a super bill that you can submit to your insurance company to be reimbursed the cost of my services.

Cancellation

Cancellations and re-scheduled session will be subject to a full charge if a request is not made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time in order to provide a timely service to other patients on the schedule. If you are 30 minutes late, that will be considered a last minute cancellation and subject to full charge.
